The Variants
Striped: Fast Talk, +1 Cha +1 Dex +1 Str. City and town dwellers, they're valued more on their ability to work and survive on their own as a kind of looked-down-upon race.
Fast Talk: The gnoll character receives an advantage to a persuade or deceive check if they have a short rest's worth of preparation of an argument or lie beforehand for that check.
Spotted (Most similar to DnD Beyond): Rampage, Bite Proficiency, +2 Str +1 Dex. They're badlands nomads and hunters. They hew closely to the Beyond homebrew for them.
Rampage: When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack on your turn, you may use a bonus action to move up to half your speed and make a bite attack.

Griot: Oral Tradition, +1 Int, +1 Dex, +1 Wis. These are historians, craftsmen, and bards that do not live in the same hunting lifestyle as the spotted but do not live in the city conditions of the striped.
